【CALL FOR ABSTRACTS】The 9th Asian Privacy Scholars Network (APSN) Conference
Join the conversation at the 9th Asian Privacy Scholars Network (APSN) Conference on Dialogue Between International Law and Comparative Law in Data Governance, taking place on August 15-16, 2024 at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), located in the heart of Taiwan’s Silicon Valley—Hsinchu.
Under the auspices of APSN, the conference is a collaborative venture between NTHU, Singapore Management University Yong Pung How School of Law (SMU Law), and the American Society of International Law (ASIL)’s International Law & Technology Interest Group.
The 2024 conference theme revolves around the profound dialogues between international law and comparative law, emphasising the synergy between international agreements and domestic legislation, especially in the Asia-Pacific region—in addressing the new challenges in the digital age. The aim is to encourage data privacy scholarship from all Asian countries and participation from across the region. NTHU, SMU YPHSL, and ASIL are inviting scholars to submit original, unpublished abstracts for papers that explore the fields of data protection, privacy, and surveillance.
